Types of cam shows

A cam show is a live performance by a model in her room, and it comes in half a dozen formats. They differ in two ways: who can watch, and how the model gets paid. Here is each one, from the most public to the most private.

Public show

The default. Anyone can watch for free, and viewers with an account can chat. The model is paid in tips. Many public shows are organised around a goal: the room tips toward a target and a specific show starts when it is reached.

Ticket show

A scheduled show with an entry fee. The model announces it in her topic, viewers buy a ticket with tokens, and at start time the room closes to everyone else. It works like a small paid event and is often good value compared with a private session.

Group show

Several viewers share one paid show, each billed per minute at a rate lower than private. The model starts when enough viewers have joined.

Private show

One viewer, one model, billed per minute. She takes requests from you only. On some sites other viewers can pay to watch silently; see spy mode below. How private shows work covers price and etiquette.

Exclusive or true private

A private show that nobody else can watch. It costs more per minute than a standard private.

Spy or voyeur mode

You pay a reduced per-minute rate to watch someone else's private show. You see the model, not the other viewer, and you cannot chat.

Cam to cam

An option inside a private show: you turn on your camera so the model sees you. What cam to cam means explains who can see what.

Which one to pick

Start public; it is free and shows you how a model runs her room. Choose a ticket or group show when you want more than the public room for less than a private. Go private for specific requests: scenes with detailed rules, as in BDSM rooms, are almost always arranged that way. Performers who work in pairs, see couples rooms, often favour goal and ticket shows.
