What does cam to cam mean?

Cam to cam means both people have their camera on. On a cam site, it is the option that lets the model see you while you watch her, the way a video call works. Without it, the video goes one way only and you are invisible.

Cam2cam, c2c, cam to cam

All the same thing. Cam2cam is the spelling most sites put on the button, and c2c is the abbreviation you will see in chat and in tip menus ("c2c in pvt" means cam to cam is available in private shows).

How it works on a cam site

Nearly always inside a private show. You start the session, click the cam2cam button, and your browser asks for permission to use the webcam and, separately, the microphone. Accept the camera and your picture is sent to the model. You can leave the microphone off and keep typing.

Only the performer receives your video. Other viewers do not, including anyone watching the model's side of the show through spy mode.

Does it cost more?

That is the model's decision. Many include it in their private rate; some list it as an extra in their tip menu. It is one of the questions to settle in public chat before starting.

Why people use it

Staying safe on camera

• You never have to show your face. Aim the camera lower.
• Clear the background of anything with your name or address on it.
• Assume that anything on a screen can be captured, whatever the site's rules say.
• Stay on the site. A performer who asks you to move to a messaging app is breaking the rules, and that request is the opening move of most extortion scams.
