Cam site etiquette

Good manners get you a better show. Models talk to hundreds of viewers a day, and the ones who greet them, read the room and ask nicely are the ones who get answers, attention and the benefit of the doubt.

Cam chat rules you will find in almost every room

• Be polite to the model and to other viewers.
• No demands. Requests go through the tip menu.
• Do not ask for personal details, contact information or meetings.
• Do not advertise other rooms or sites.
• Do not post links.
• Respect the limits listed on her profile. No means no the first time.
• Moderators speak for the model. Do not argue with them.

Each room adds its own. They are posted in the topic or in a panel under the video, and reading them takes ten seconds.

What to say to a cam girl

Start with hello and her name. Then pick something real: the music, the outfit, the joke she just made. Ask a question she can answer in a sentence. That is already more than most of the room does.

Things that work badly: opening with a demand, commenting on her body in terms you would not use face to face, asking where she lives, typing in capitals, repeating a request she has declined.

In a busy room, in broad categories like our white rooms page, your message scrolls past in seconds. Do not resend it five times. A small tip with a note is the accepted way to be noticed, and our tipping guide explains the amounts.

Requests

Check the menu, tip the amount, say what it is for. If what you want is not listed, ask whether she does it and what it would cost. Anything elaborate belongs in a private show; the different show types explains the options.

Respect is not optional

Use the name and pronouns a performer gives, in trans rooms and everywhere else. Do not argue about prices. Do not insult a model for declining. The mute and ban buttons are one click away for her, and bans are often shared across a studio.

And if you do not tip?

Stay, chat, be good company. Free viewers who make a room livelier are welcome nearly everywhere.
